February Artist – Jason Boblitt

A collection of pen-and-ink creations by local artist Jason Boblitt, described as “A collage of intuitive proprietary; incredulous, copious amounts of fear, compressed and transformed into a pure application of color and imagination, streaming from a lack of sensation for the color blind and horse folk of East LA… In other words, bright and happy.”

The exhibit will remain on display through February. Opening night will feature the breakout band Mirrorball. They will be laying down the jams in the front room in style and class. Probably just style…..

Spruce Tree Coffeehouse presents “Skunkworks,” by local photographer Dusty Lyon.

Experimental color photography; an exploration in Absurdism & Bizzare Americana, combining wide angle distortion, multiple exposures and colored filters to create whimsical, abstract scenes.

The exhibit will remain on display for the month of January.

Art Opening/Reception at Spruce Tree Coffeehouse Date:  Thursday, November 4 Time:  5:00pm – 7:00pm A photo-documentary of the Tarahumara Indians of the Sierra Madre by Dolores-based anthropologist, Janneli Miller. Dr. Miller has visited the village, on a remote plateau at 8,000 feet in Northern Mexico, annually for the past fifteen years.
